Get ready for an unforgettable summer of hands-on experiments, creative projects, and themed adventures—all in a small, engaging group setting! Each week features a new STEAM theme packed with science, art, and discovery.
Campers will also get up close and personal with our amazing creatures: Harry Gary the long-haired Syrian hamster, Lucy and Ethel the Turtle Sisters, Rocky the Bearded Dragon, Humpty and Dumpty the Tree Frog Brothers, and Mr. Twigs the Stick Bug!
Camps run Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Lucy and Ethel
Meet Lucy and Ethel, our charming Eastern box turtles! These slow-and-steady besties love munching on berries, inhaling wiggly worms and basking in the sun. Don’t be surprised if they steal the show—one slow step at a time!
Bearded Dragon
Rocky
Meet Rocky, our dashing bearded dragon with a serious raspberry obsession—he chomps them like candy, then struts around with bright pink lips like he’s wearing dragon lipstick. When he’s not chasing crickets with ninja-level speed, you’ll find him locked in intense staring contests (he almost always wins). Cool, quirky, and full of personality, Rocky is the ultimate scaly superstar of the STEAM lab!
Stick Bug
Mr. Twigs
Say hi (if you can find him) to Mr. Twigs, our master of disguise! This stick bug is a camouflage expert—he looks exactly like a twig, so spotting him is a real challenge. Stick bugs like Mr. Twigs can even stay perfectly still for hours to avoid predators. He’s quiet, mysterious, and undeniably cool—a true hidden gem of the STEAM lab!
Dumpy Tree Frog Brothers
Humpty and Dumpty
Meet Humpty and Dumpty, the Australian tree frog brothers who are as cool as they are slimy! These color-changing champs can shift from bright green to soft brown depending on their mood and surroundings—like little amphibian chameleons! They love climbing, sticking to glass, and showing off their big, bouncy eyes. Watch out—these guys are full of surprises and totally ribbiting to hang out with!
Long-haired Syrian Hamster
Hairy Gary
This is Hairy Gary, the fluffiest, friendliest long-haired Syrian hamster you’ll ever meet! He’s super soft, curious about everything, and has a special love for tiny pretzels. He also might be Ms. Danielle’s favorite… but shhh—don’t tell the others! With his wild hair and sweet little face, Gary steals hearts (and snacks) wherever he goes.
STEAM Camp Teacher!
Ms. Danielle
STEAM Teacher Danielle Bolster—aka “Ms. Danielle”—has been sharing her love of Art and STEAM at Silver Gate Elementary for over ten years. She’s passionate about creativity, curiosity, and hands-on fun. Outside the classroom, she loves coffee, hiking, paddling, animals, making art, and spending time with her family.

Session 1:
June 9th - 13th
Potion Commotion
Get ready for a wild week of fizz, foam, and fantastic potions! In this hands-on, experiment-packed camp, young scientists will whip up bubbling hexagon bubbles, erupt their own mini volcanos, launch elephant toothpaste, and discover the secret behind dancing raisins. We’ll mix, stir, squish, and slime our way through a week of messy, magical fun. Warning: things will get gloriously gooey!
Session 2:
June 16th - 20th
Fix-It Factory
Calling all problem solvers and future engineers! In this high-energy week, campers will take on the pasta-and-marshmallow tower challenge, build twisty, turny paper roller coasters, and design marble run obstacle courses that defy gravity. Campers will also design earthquake-proof structures and test them on real mini earthquake simulators. It’s a week of shaking, racing, building—and indestructable fun!

June 23rd - 27th
Ocean Explorers
Dive into a week of underwater adventure! Campers will become marine scientists as they explore the wonders of the deep sea—from glowing jellyfish and playful dolphins to mysterious ocean trenches and coral reefs. We’ll create ocean slime, build mini submarines, and investigate how sea creatures adapt to their environments. Through hands-on experiments, ocean-themed art, and splashy STEAM fun, campers will discover just how wild and wonderful our watery world can be. Grab your goggles—adventure awaits!
Session 4:
July 7th - 11th
Camp Blast Off!
3…2…1…Liftoff! Get ready to launch into a week of out-of-this-world fun as we explore the mysteries of space. Campers will build and launch mini rockets, create craters like real astronauts, design their own alien species, and experiment with gravity-defying science. We’ll zoom through the solar system, learn about planets, stars, and black holes, and maybe even try some astronaut “ice cream.” It’s a week packed with cosmic creativity, explosive experiments, and stellar discoveries!
Session 5:
July 14th - 18th
LEGOmania
Get ready to click, stack, and build your way through a week of nonstop LEGO fun! At LEGOmania, campers will take on exciting challenges like building balloon-powered cars, designing towering structures, creating mazes, and inventing their own mini worlds—brick by brick. We’ll explore creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving while turning piles of LEGO bricks into wild inventions. If you can dream it, you can build it at LEGOmania!
Session 6:
July 21st - 25th
The Masters
Step into the world of legendary artists during The Masters week! Campers will explore the styles and techniques of iconic creators like Van Gogh, Picasso, Monet, and more—while putting their own creative twist on classic masterpieces. From swirling starry skies to bold abstract shapes, kids will paint, draw, and sculpt their way through art history. It’s a colorful, hands-on journey through the world of great artists, perfect for any budding art master!
